Trenton Carr

Horn

Trenton Carr is a horn player based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. He holds degrees in performance from both the University of North Texas (Bachelor of Music) and Southern Methodist University (Master of Music). His performance experience covers a wide range, spanning from jazz big bands to symphony orchestras.

Carr has performed with many professional ensembles including the Plano Symphony Orchestra, the Irving Symphony Orchestra, the McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dallas
Chamber Symphony, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He has also been granted fellowships with the Vienna Summer Music Festival Orchestra, the Miami Music Festival Orchestra, and the Chautauqua Institution’s Music Festival Symphony Orchestra.

When he is not performing, he finds great meaning in teaching private horn lessons and
masterclasses, an endeavor he describes as, “meaningful, fulfilling, and a great opportunity to inspire the musicians of the next generation.” Outside of the concert hall and practice room, Trenton can be found hanging out with his cat Plum, exploring the great outdoors, and spending time with his family whenever he can.
