Jolette Wine

Jolette Wine is currently serving as the Instrumental Band Specialist for the Fort Worth ISD Music Department. Prior to coming to Fort Worth, Ms. Wine was the Director of Bands at Birdville High School for 4 years and the Associate Director of Bands at L.D. Bell High School for 2 years. Ms. Wine spent most of her teaching career at the middle school level where she taught in Lewisville ISD, Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD, and Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. Her longest tenure was in Grapevine-Colleyville where she taught for 16 years at both Cross Timbers Middle School and Colleyville Middle School. The Cross Timbers Band placed 3rd in the TMEA Class CC Honor Band competition and the Colleyville Band was named the 1994 Class CC State Honor Band of Texas and performed at the TMEA Convention in San Antonio.
Ms. Wine’s professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Adjudicators Association, and Phi Beta Mu Honorary Bandmasters Fraternity. In addition to her current position in Fort Worth ISD, Ms. Wine is an active consultant, clinician, and adjudicator. She is proud to be a teacher bringing her passion for music to the directors and students she is privileged to work with each day.
Paul Schmidt
Paul Schmidt has taught for 36 years and currently teaches undergraduate wind method classes at Southern Methodist University. He actively consults in several area school districts as a middle school band specialist and clinician.

Schmidt, a native of Lubbock, completed his Bachelor of Music Education at Texas Tech and began his teaching career in San Antonio’s North East ISD. After four years in the field he moved to North Texas earning his master’s degree in music education from the University of North Texas. He served as band director in Grand Prairie, Carrollton and Colleyville before retiring in 2016. An advocate of wind band and music education, Schmidt has served on the board of the Dallas Winds and still advises on education initiatives. Honors include induction in Phi Beta Mu, the Swan Award for working with Gifted and Talented and Carrollton/Farmers Branch Teacher of the Year, 2009. Professional affiliations include TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association), TBA (Texas Bandmasters Association) and TMAA (Texas Music Adjudicators Association).

Corey Parks

Corey Parks was a public school band director for the 16 years. He is now a business owner designing marching band drill and consulting with marching bands across the state. He continues to teach as a private lesson instructor in the DFW metroplex.

As a band director, Mr. Parks was the Director of Bands at Cross Timbers Middle School in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. Before then, he was an assistant band director in Highland Park ISD, working both at the middle school and high school for 11 years. He was also an assistant director at Forestwood Middle School in Lewisville ISD. He has taught at many educational levels including 5th grade elementary music, beginner woodwind classes, non-varsity middle school and high school bands, jazz bands, and high school marching bands.

Mr. Parks was also a member of the Lone Star Wind Orchestra for several years, playing at many concerts and venues across the state.

Mr. Parks graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelors in Music Education and a Masters in Music.
